Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are officially divorced now. According to ABP News, the couple were called to Bandra Family Court to complete the legal formalities. The news of their divorce was doing rounds on social media for months. The duo kept on sharing cryptic posts amidst their divorce speculations, hinting that they had gone their separate ways. However, none of them spoke of the topic. Now, when they are officially divorced, here’s the reason behind their divorce.
Yuzvendra Chahal And Dhanashree Verma Divorce
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma are officially separated. According to reports, the couple were called to Bandra Family Court to complete the legal formalities of divorce. Additionally, the judge recommended seeking couple counselling, which lasted for about 45 minutes. The duo were living separately for the past 18 months and after all the discussions and sessions the judge officially announced the divorce and declared that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma are no longer husband and wife. As per the ABP news report, the couple cited ‘compatibility issues’ as the reason for separation. The judge granted them divorce around 4:30 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Right before the final hearing, Chahal shared a cryptic post on Instagram which read: “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I’ve been rescued that I don’t even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don’t know it. Amen.”
Yuzvendra Chahal To Pay Alimony
Post-divorce, there are rumours suggesting that Yuzvendra Chahal has to pay a significant amount of alimony to Dhanashree Verma. According to the Free Press Journal, the cricketer may be required to pay around Rs 60 crores but there is no confirmation of the amount yet.
