Leeds United’s push for automatic promotion has hit a few obstacles in the last few weeks but the club will still be planning for a Premier League campaign, next season.
Despite Daniel Farke’s side winning just one game in their last four games prior to the international break, Leeds remain top of the Championship table. Goal difference separates Leeds and Sheffield United.
With eight left to go, Connor Roberts has told fans to “buckle up” while Chris Wilder predicted a “titanic” battle for automatic promotion. Sheffield United and Leeds are only two points ahead of Burnley.
But with Leeds in the driving seat, The Whites will be confident of promotion especially if they can start the final eight games with a win over Swansea – and must plan accordingly in the transfer market.

Leeds United are confident of getting Manor Solomon signed
Adam Pope predicted Leeds to make six signings and spend well over £100m if the club do go up. Certainly, Leeds need a new goalkeeper, cover at centre-back, a striker and possibly even a new no.10.
Other areas will also be addressed, like the permanent signing of Manor Solomon. It is believed a deal to turn Solomon’s loan into a permanent transfer will cost between £10m and £15m, from Tottenham.
Graeme Bailey has told LeedsUnited.News that The Whites are now expecting to get a deal done for the winger, who has had a hand in 15 goals in his 33 appearances since joining the club on loan in 2024.
“I don’t believe Ange Postecoglou’s future will matter when it comes to Solomon, he will be allowed to leave. Leeds are keen to do it and firmly believe he will go,” Bailey told LeedsUnited.News this week.

How has Manor Solomon got on during international break?
Like 15 other players on Leeds United’s books, Solomon has been busy representing his country during the March break. Last weekend, Solomon helped Israel beat Estonia to win 2-1 in World Cup qualifying.
Solomon was labelled both “brilliant” and “terrible” by Israeli media having missed a big chance before supplying a gorgeous assist to secure the win. He is now preparing to take on Norway on Tuesday night.
Norway’s manager Stale Solbakken singled out Solomon for praise ahead of the game but the likes of Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard will make it difficult for Israel to get a result, before he returns.
