I’m a complete sucker for a clean-looking gaming PC build, so it’s no surprise that this inspired fusion of solid mahogany inside an otherwise standard be quiet! PC case has me hooked. It’s not just a stunner, too, with a very intriguing selection of specs that make it a workhorse machine for productivity, not just a gaming powerhouse.
This PC build uses a somewhat unusual set of specs, not least a 12-core Intel Xeon CPU that you’d usually find in a server or workstation machine. Nvidia keeps things sensible for gaming, however, with an RTX 4070 Ti graphics card and 32GB of DDR5 RAM leaving plenty of power to rival the best gaming PCs out there for high performance modern gameplay.
This build caught my eye via a post on builds.gg, where builder mayhem_modz showcased this unusual rig. The builder modified a be quiet! Silent Base 802 case using solid mahogany paneling, which they’ve used to replace the side and top panels, along with adding some internal paneling internally.
The result is a PC that, in the builder’s own words, brings technology and nature together. The specs couldn’t be less removed from an outside environment, however, with a water-cooled be quiet! AIO keeping the CPU cool while also lighting up the inside of the PC, supported by three RGB fans on the radiator above it, and a further be quiet! fan for airflow at the rear.
Alongside the micro-ATX MSI motherboard is the Inno3D-branded RTX 4070 Ti X3 0C, along with a 1TB S3+ Dragonheart PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD for storage. A 1200W be quiet! Straight Power 12 PSU provides more than enough power for the CPU and GPU here, with plenty of power free for upgrades to an RTX 5090 in the future.
This is a ‘grown up’ PC that’s the perfect fit for your home and work life. The mahogany panels have been professionally integrated into the build, while the RGB lighting helps to cleanly light up the machine without being too much. Kudos to the designer, who has taken a simple case design and elevated it well above its station here.
