The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has refuted allegations published in a Telugu digital news portal on March 4, which claimed that Group-I posts were being sold for crores of rupees and that irregularities had occurred in the selection process due to discrepancies in hall ticket numbers between the Preliminary and Mains examinations.
In an official statement, TGPSC clarified that the news report was false and misleading. “The Commission, established under Article 315 of the Constitution, is responsible for conducting fair and transparent recruitment for various government departments. Given that lakhs of unemployed youth appear for these recruitments, the dissemination of false information could create unnecessary confusion and damage the Commission’s credibility,” said the Commission.
A complaint was sent to Hyderabad Cyber Crimes police, urging authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against those responsible for publishing the misleading report. The Commission assured candidates that the recruitment process was conducted with the utmost integrity and that all allegations were baseless.
