Fanatical is holding another one of its fantastic Steam Deck game sales, offering up some of the finest Verified and Playable games for just a fraction of the MSRP. We’ve picked out five games you need to play, and added five honorable mentions for good measure.
Whether you’re new to the Steam Deck or already well acquainted with the best handheld gaming PC, these games all work great on the portable with no tweaks required. Better still, they’re all available with up to 92% off their prices, thanks to this latest sale.
Shadow of War Definitive Edition
Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor was one of the biggest hits of the 2010s, in part thanks to the patented Nemesis system and remarkable RPG gameplay. Its sequel, Shadow of War, never received the same plaudits, but its story and gameplay are just as strong, and it takes place in a slightly more complex open world.
For just over five bucks, you’ll grab a great Lord of the Rings RPG and all of its post-release content, which runs impeccably on the Steam Deck.

Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns Kollection
The most recent Mortal Kombat games rarely get major discounts, often because the huge DLC roadmaps are enough to keep the fanbase coming back for more. However, the Khaos Reigns edition of Mortal Kombat 1 is well over half price right now, and the game is Steam Deck Verified.
This special edition includes the Khaos Reigns story expansion and two kombat packs, which feature DLC fighters such as Omni-Man, Ermac, Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and Homelander. You’ll also receive a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage and 1,250 Dragon Krystals.

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
I mean, why not… right? We’re at a point now where there may well be a generation of gamers who haven’t played Skyrim, and for well under $10 you can grab a copy of the game that’s so widely available that it even got an Amazon Alexa version.
In all seriousness, Skyrim shows Bethesda at its best, and this epic RPG is still just as enjoyable today as it was in 2011. It also runs great on the Steam Deck, and you can enable mods to take your adventure to new, ridiculous heights.

Days Gone
Days Gone feels like a forgotten Sony first-party title, but with its Broken Road DLC coming soon, which includes a new wave of content, there’s no better time to jump on a cheap copy of the game.
Roaming a post-pandemic America, you’ll have to survive in a world that doesn’t have much to offer in return. An underrated story, aided by the brilliant performance of Sam Witwer, this open-world action-adventure runs incredibly well on the Steam Deck.

Conscript
Set during the First World War, you take on the role of a French soldier, navigating trenches while solving puzzles and trying to scavenge for supplies to take on the incredibly dangerous enemies. There are zero supernatural elements to Conscript, but its horror is still harrowingly impactful.
This game is a completely new take on survival horror, where you are living through events that don’t seem quite so far-fetched compared to a game such as Resident Evil. Conscript is an indie game that shouldn’t be overlooked, whether you’re a horror fan or not.
