Samsung One UI 7 Rollout: Date, Eligible Galaxy Phones, New Features, and How to Download

Samsung has officially started rolling out its latest software update, One UI 7, beginning with its flagship Galaxy S24 lineup, including the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The update, based on Android 15, introduces a variety of improvements and new features to Samsung’s custom interface.

According to a community post on Samsung’s official forum in South Korea, the company has shared the official schedule and confirmed that 46 more Galaxy devices will receive the One UI 7 update in the coming weeks.

Samsung One UI 7 Release Date

Samsung has officially begun rolling out One UI 7, starting on April 7, 2025. The update is initially reaching flagship devices such as the Galaxy S and Z series, with other eligible models to follow in the coming weeks. Before the stable version’s launch, Samsung released a beta build of One UI 7 in March for testing and feedback.

Samsung’s One UI 7 introduces a more polished and efficient user experience. Users can expect:

  • Refined Interface: Smoother animations, refreshed icons, and faster app launches.
  • Enhanced Personalisation: Redesigned home and lock screens with improved customisation options.
  • Updated Camera App: New layout with clearer controls and advanced tools like a zoom slider in Pro Video mode.
  • ‘Now Bar’ Feature: Similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, this feature offers quick access to music controls, interpreter mode, and stopwatch directly from the lock screen.
  • Smart Writing Tools: Helps summarise notes, correct grammar, and format content into bullet points.
  • Improved Call Transcription: Now supports 20 languages, including English (India) and Hindi.
  • Audio Eraser: Lets users remove unwanted background noise from videos for clearer sound.

How to Download Samsung One UI 7

The update is rolling out in phases by region, with South Korea being the first to receive it. Other markets, including India, are expected to follow soon.

To check if One UI 7 is available for your device:

  • Open Settings
  • Go to Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates
  • If available, tap Download and install

Keep in mind that it may take a few weeks for the update to become available on all eligible devices across different regions.
