
Pooja Hegde, after her Kollywood debut with Vijay’s Beast, is now acting as the female lead in Suriya’s Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1st.
Currently, the dubbing work for Retro is progressing rapidly, and according to reports, Pooja Hegde has lent her own voice to the movie.

Pooja Hegde also shared an Instagram story of her dubbing for Retro, which has since gone viral on social media.
Following this, social media users began comparing Pooja Hegde with Trisha, criticizing Trisha for not dubbing in her own voice. They pointed out that despite being from Mumbai, Pooja Hegde put considerable effort into lending her own voice for a Tamil movie.

In contrast, they noted that Trisha, who is from Chennai and has been acting in Tamil movies for the past two decades, still uses dubbing artists for her roles.
However, Pooja Hegde’s Kollywood debut movie, Beast, was a significant failure. It remains to be seen whether Retro will become a blockbuster success and help Pooja Hegde establish herself as a successful actress in the Kollywood industry.
