Anyone who’s recently wrapped up a playthrough of new co-op staple Split Fiction and is looking for another great multiplayer option to dive into is in luck. When it launched in the summer of 2023, Remnant 2‘s blend of Elden Ring-style action and Borderlands 3 or Destiny 2’s gear chasing immediately made it one of the finest choices for a horror-tinged action RPG game to play with friends. And now, thanks to an ongoing Steam sale, it’s less expensive than ever before to pick up a copy and try out for yourself.
With the launch of its Forgotten Kingdom DLC last autumn, Remnant 2 received its final substantial update from creator Gunfire Games, tying a bow on the co-op game after ensuring there’s plenty of character classes, enemy types, and worlds for players to explore. With or without its expansions included, though, the game is an essential pick for anyone into tough, multiplayer action in a visually creative, intricately designed dark sci-fi world.
In our Remnant 2 review, Nat praised the game’s “level design and sublime set pieces” as well as the clever iterations it made to the first Remnant.
