Udaipur, April 11, 2025 – Passenger traffic at Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport has consistently remained above 1.5 lakh. In March 2025, the airport recorded 1,51,711 arrivals and departures. Though this is 4,672 less than in February (1,56,383 passengers), it is still 715 more than March 2024, which had 1,50,996 passengers.
For the past two years, the airport has maintained passenger traffic of more than 1.5 lakh every month – unaffected by rain, winter or summer. The steady rise in air travellers is attributed primarily to strong air connectivity and the availability of affordable travel packages for both domestic and international tourists. Udaipur has become a tourist hub offering budget-friendly hotels, restaurants and taxi services.
Udaipur airport is ranked third nationally among Indian airports with annual passenger traffic under 2 million. This ranking is based on customer satisfaction. Previously ranked eighth, the airport has improved significantly owing to on-going expansion of passenger amenities.
In the most recent ranking, Udaipur airport jumped five spots, landing in third place, and has maintained this position.
Over the past year, several upgrades have been made at the airport, including three new VVIP lounges, upgraded seating, new restaurants, attractive shopping and more.
