The Mecha Break system requirements paint the picture of a game that can easily be run on older and budget gaming PCs. Despite this, the frantic pace of gameplay and high level of detail make it look as though there is more to this game than the minimum and recommended specs would have us believe.
You won’t need the best graphics card to run upcoming free-to-play shooter Mecha Break, although we don’t have any high or ultra specs yet either. The initial community feedback suggests the game is well-optimized for low-end GPUs, however, and we’re excited to see what is possible on some of the best gaming laptops and PCs.

The Mecha Break minimum requirements are super low, and this is likely to translate into a 30fps frame rate at 720p, although no performance targets are currently offered in the listed requirements on Steam.
You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 570 GPU alongside an Intel Core i5 6500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU. The RAM requirement is also only 8GB, but given that upgrading to the best gaming RAM is a fairly cheap and simple upgrade, it’s well worth doing to future-proof your gaming PC.
As for the Mecha Break recommended specs, these take a decent jump up, but are still within reach of mid-range and budget gaming PC builds, although there’s also some wild variation between the Intel and AMD CPUs required.
You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT paired with an Intel Core i7 10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D. The RAM requirements at their tier also double to 16GB, which is where most modern 3D games are expected to sit as standard.
These specs are somewhat confusing, as there is a mix of budget and mid-range GPUs from different generations, while the selected Intel CPU is considerably older than the 5700X3D. This could point to the game being better optimized for Intel hardware, but ultimately, only the developers know why this hardware has been selected. As always, these listings are subject to change as the game reaches release and goes through further optimizations.
We don’t currently have a Mecha Break download size listed on the Steam page, but if we take the open beta as a guide, the total size on disk is just over 30GB. This, of course, is entirely subject to change with the full file size of the game still to be confirmed.
