Who are the Marathon voice actors? Bungie’s visually striking extraction shooter has finally been unveiled, and its bold use of graphic realism isn’t the only thing demanding our attention. Featuring big names across the industry, Marathon’s Runners have some serious VA firepower behind them.
The Marathon release date is on the horizon, and there’s more to experience from the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV than the standard FPS game pew-pewing. Promising more of the immersive storytelling we’ve come to expect from Halo and Destiny developer Bungie, the Marathon cast list is going to have to be on point if it’s going to deliver in the same way the studio’s biggest hitters have continued to for decades.
Marathon voice actors
Here are the confirmed Marathon voice actors so far:
- Blackbird – Nika Futterman
- Glitch – Erica Lindbeck
- Oni – Donnla Hughes
- Void – Elias Toufexis
It should also be noted that Ben Starr (The Balatro Joker, also Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16) served as the narrator for Marathon’s cinematic trailer. Whether or not he’ll be doing more creepy whispers for the game going forward is unclear, so we’ve omitted him from the official list for now. Sorry, Ben.
Blackbird
Destiny’s very own Eva Levante and Kadi 55-30, Nika Futterman, has traded one Bungie project for another, as she takes on the role of Blackbird in Marathon. Futterman will also be familiar to Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Marvel Rivals enjoyers, having taken on the roles of Asajj Ventress and Hela, respectively.
Glitch
Glitch took a starring role in Marathon’s first cinematic trailer, and there’s plenty of star power behind her biosynthetic vocal cords. Erica Lindbeck has a litany of high-profile credits to her name, including Persona 5’s Futaba, Marvel’s Spider-Man’s Black Cat, and Helluva Boss’s Loona.
Oni
By process of elimination, we presume Oni to be the virtual handler we can see re-onboarding Glitch. At the very least, we know she’s voiced by Donnla Hughes, who will be making her videogame VA debut. Having been credited in several smaller productions, we’re excited to hear more from Hughes when we finally get to play at launch.
Void
Void voice actor Elias Toufexis is no stranger to a transhumanist tale, having lent his talents to Adam Jensen in the Deus Ex series. Also serving as Marathon’s voice director, this isn’t the first time Toufexis has treated himself to a self-insert while at the helm – Starfield’s Sam Coe says hi. Toufexis has also served as voice director on Fortnite, so this isn’t his first rodeo directing multiplayer shooters, either.
