1. Fasting & Worship: Devotees observe a strict fast throughout the day. The worship of Lord Ganesha is performed using Shodashopachara or Panchopachara rituals.
2. Ganesh Abhishek: The idol of Lord Ganesha is bathed with pure water. If possible, Atharvashirsha should be recited 21 times during Abhishek. Alternatively, one can chant “Om Gan Ganapataye Namah”108 times.
3. Offerings: Flowers, incense, lamps, and Naivedya (food offerings) are presented to Lord Ganesha, followed by the distribution of Prasad.
4. Moon Worship: After themoon rises, offerings are made to the moon before breaking the fast. Durva (grass) and Hibiscus flowers are essential in Ganesha Puja.
