In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Asus graphics cards, and the upcoming release of Doom The Dark Ages, Bethesda and Asus are partnering up to unleash a limited edition graphics card based on the Nvidia RTX 5080 GPU. Using on the ROG Astral design, this card will be sold exclusively on the Bethesda Gear Store and will come with additional Doom goodies.
One of the latest releases from Nvidia , the RTX 5080 is among the best graphics cards for anyone looking to maximize their return for less than $1,000. In our RTX 5080 review, we praise the “incredible performance” when multi frame gen is enabled, a feature exclusive to the RTX 5000 cards.
While I’m not usually a fan of limited edition GPU collaborations, I have to admit that this Doom The Dark Ages card is incredibly cool. The triple-fan design comes primarily in the Doom Slayer’s iconic dark green coloring, with a few additional touches making the design even sweeter.
Most notable is the Doom Slayer mural on the rear of the card, showing Doom Guy holding his bladed shield in one hand, and his shotgun in the other, preparing to slay the hellish beasts that surround him.
The Doom Slayer sigil also features on the rear fan and one of the front-facing fans. On these same fans, a gold trim is added, where one is made to look like a compass, and the other features ‘Republic of Gamers’ text.
Over on the Bethesda Gear Store, the bundle that includes the ROG Astral GeFroce RTX 5080 Doom edition also comes with a copy of the premium edition of Doom The Dark Ages, a Slayer Sigil t-shirt, an oversized mouse pad, and a yellow key card replica.
The bundle will be available to order from April 29, 2025, at 5am EST / 2am PST. It isn’t clear how much the bundle will cost, and given how hard it has been to get your hands on an RTX 5080 recently, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these cards targeted by scalpers.
