Civilization 7 supports cross-progression as long as you play on the same 2K account that was linked to your initial copy of Civilization 7.
Additionally, Civilization 7 does not support cross-buy, but, it does support dual-gen entitlement. This means that if you purchase the game on PlayStation or Xbox, you’ll be able to play Civ 7 across console generations. PlayStation owners will be able to play on PlayStation 4 and 5, while Xbox owners will be able to play on the Xbox One and Series X|S as long as you’re playing on the same PlayStation Network account or Xbox network account.
However, it’s important to note that physical copies on PS5 don’t provide you with dual-gen entitlement for PS4 as Civilization 7 is only available digitally on the PS4.
