When is the Among Us 3D release date? While it wasn’t the first social deduction game, Among Us brought the genre to a global scale when it found viral success in 2020, two years after it initially launched. In addition to adding the word ‘sus’ to all our daily vocabularies, developer Innersloth is now targeting internet domination once more with Among Us 3D.
Among Us is all about immersion, putting yourself in the shoes and, most importantly, the mindset of Among Us imposter or crewmate. It’s the same game as before, hiding in the same Among Us vents, completing the same tasks, except you’re looking at it through the eyes of a bean. Here’s what we know about the Among Us 3D release date.
Among Us 3D release date estimate
There is no Among Us 3D release date yet, but Innersloth revealed in the teaser trailer that it is “coming soon”. As the devs already have a demo prepared, we believe Among Us 3D will launch sometime around Q2 2025.
Innersloth loves to do things for social media fans, and its community director, Victoria Tran, may just be among the best in the business. As such, we wouldn’t be surprised if the team aligned the Among Us 3D release date with the anniversary of the first game, which falls on June 15.
Given that Among Us 3D is being created from the existing VR version, this should speed up the development time considerably as the assets are already available.
Among Us 3D trailers and gameplay
The Among Us 3D teaser trailer is the only one we have so far, but it’s enough to know exactly what’s going on. It’s clear that Among Us 3D is the same game we know and love, featuring the same tasks and environments, but just set from a first-person perspective.
Proximity chat is also available in the new version of the multiplayer game, allowing you to communicate with the players closest to you and establish what they’re up to. We can also see that the fun Among Us costumes and cosmetics are also available in the 3D game.
Among Us 3D demo
A free playable demo of Among Us 3D is available to play on Steam from Monday, February 24, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest.
According to the official Steam page for the upcoming game, the demo “does not include all features or game modes that will be available at launch, such as crossplay compatibility with Among Us VR or additional cosmetics”.
