The three-day event was inaugurated recently by IIIT-S founder chairman M. Balasubramaniam, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Stratinfinity, in the presence of Director M.V. Kartikeyan and Registrar T. Umasankar, while N. Balaji, Managing Director and Indian head of Citibank, attended as the chief guest.

“Themed as ‘Mystery and Magic’, the event symbolises the fusion of technology and creativity”, Col. Umasankar explained. The event witnessed rousing participation from faculty, staff and students from across the country. The highlight of the day was a panel discussion on ‘Cybersecurity in the present era’, featuring experts who delved into contemporary challenges and solutions for the security issues on the rise.

Apart from the panel discussion, the event also included technical workshops, cultural performances and hackathons to foster innovation and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.

MoU signed

IIIT Sri City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TeamLease EdTech Ltd, a company that assists Indian universities in launching, running and managing their online programmes while improving students’ employability.

The collaboration is expected to leverage their respective expertise, knowledge and resources to start M.Tech. online programmes specialising in Cybersecurity, VLSI and IoT & Autonomous Systems starting June 2025.

Students revved up the mood at the closing ceremony held on Sunday by giving captivating performances at the dance competitions, blending traditional and contemporary forms. The DJ show conducted at the end turned out to be a highlight.
