Shreya Chaudhry, known for her roles in Bandish Bandits (seasons 1 and 2), Dear Maya, and Commando, recently opened up about her remarkable weight loss journey. What made her transformation even more special was the inspiration she drew from her “forever crush,” Hrithik Roshan. Shreya shared before-and-after photos on social media, explaining how Hrithik’s dedication to fitness had motivated her to prioritise her health. The post gained a lot of traction when Hrithik himself reacted, expressing admiration for her progress and inspiring Shreya to keep pushing forward. Needless to say, it left Shreya in awe.
While sharing her before-and-after photos on Instagram, Shreya Chaudhry wrote a note, reflecting on her transformation and the inspiration she drew from Hrithik.
An excerpt from the note read, “I remember reading an article of @hrithikroshan (my forever crush) about being fit and how he handled his ups and downs. I have been one of Hrithik’s biggest fans since I was a child and that article changed my life. In hindsight I think I owe my fitness journey to him. So, here it is … an appreciation post for my cinematic idol who inspired me to take care of myself, to make my health a priority. You inspire millions including me…”
Hrithik Roshan then reacted to Shreya Chaudhry’s post talking about her incredible transformation. Taking to the post’s comment section, he said, “You are a champion. Look at you! Thanks for inspiring me in return.”
In reply, Shreya commented, “Woahh! what just happened!!! Thankyouu so much @hrithikroshan it makes me want to push myself harder.”
Many others praised Shreya in the comments section and flooded the post’s comment section with wishes. Actress Divya Dutta wrote, “Sooo proud of all aspects of u.” Namastey London actress Shruti Chauhan wrote, “I will love you in all avatars,” while Rajat Barmecha expressed, “Oh wow!” Director Jyoti Kapur Das penned, “Wow! So much more appreciation for how you stay fit after knowing the journey! So proud of you!”
Shreya Chaudhry garnered a lot of positive response for her performance in Bandish Bandits. Earlier, in an interview with NDTV, the actress talked about her journey while working on Bandish Bandits over two seasons.
She said. “I remember when we were starting Season 1, I was a novice. I knew nothing. All I believed in was that I was about to be a part of something I had never seen or heard of being made. I was just excited to be a part of it,” adding, “I got to live vicariously through Tamanna in Season 2. The writers have made her very real and relatable. She goes through a journey that can happen to anybody. The decisions that she makes, like going back to a music school despite being an established pop star, takes guts. To add to that, her willingness to learn was my foundation. She’s not perfect. She makes mistakes and learns from them. I was also going through my evolution simultaneously at that point while I was filming Season 2. So that was like a parallel track.”
Shreya Chaudhry will be next seen in The Mehta Boys, which will hit the theatres in 2025. Directed by Boman Irani, the movie also stars Avinash Tiwary.
