KUWAIT CITY, March 15: The Al-Ojairi Scientific Center has announced that the first day of Eid Al- Fitr will be on March 30. The center explained it will be difficult to see the crescent moon in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia on March 29, as it will be visible only for eight minutes.

According to the center, the crescent moon will rise at 1:57 pm on March 29 and will set before the Sun in some Islamic cities in Southeast Asia, making it impossible to see the moon in these areas on the sighting day.

It added that the crescent moon will be visible in the skies of some Arab and Islamic capitals and cities between four to 20 minutes, depending on the geographical location of each country. The legal decision on the beginning of Shawwal is within the jurisdiction of the Sharia Moon Sighting Authority
