The sunbathed streets of Vice City feel like they’re almost within reach. After 12 agonizing years, GTA 6 is official, and it (hopefully) isn’t too far away. While returning to the series’ classic games (but perhaps not the GTA 5 Enhanced Edition) feels almost mandatory at this point, if you’re looking for something a little different, Cities Skylines 2 modder ‘Mega_’ has you covered. Bringing some Miami sunshine to Paradox’s classic management sim, this is the perfect way to while away the hours ahead of Rockstar’s titanic new release.

As part of the city building game‘s ten-year anniversary celebrations, Cities Skylines 2 is getting three new Creator Packs: the Chinese-inspired Dragon Gate, summer-focused Leisure Venues, and gorgeous Mediterranean Heritage pack. What better way to celebrate that second one, then, than with with Mega_’s new Cities Skylines 2 map.

Based on Florida and aptly entitled ‘Vice Shores’ (you’re seeing a trend here, aren’t you?) Mega_ has added a whole new island locale inspired by the Sunshine State and GTA 6’s ever-iconic Vice City.

The map includes custom weather that mirrors the region’s sunny climate, and has seven different starting zones. Each area has its own unique flora, and there are various biomes scattered across the island – Florida is known for its swamps, after all.

There are plenty of custom tiles, too, and the map is completely vanilla so doesn’t require other mods. Given that you’re here and reading this article, however, it’s safe to assume that you’re probably modding already, so Mega_ recommends pairing it with Anarchy, Lumina, and Map Texture Replacer.

If you’re looking for a slice of GTA 6 in Cities Skylines 2, you can download Mega_’s map here. Note that the tenth anniversary packs are releasing on Tuesday, March 18, so you won’t be able to add snazzy cocktail lounges and luxury art museums just yet.

Additionally, Cities Skylines 2 is currently part of the Steam Spring Sale, sitting at 20% off, or $39.99 / £33.59, so if you fancy a trip to Vice Shores but don’t currently own the game, now’s a great time to pick it up.
