Deva OTT Release: Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hedge Action-Thriller Set To Release On THIS Platform

Deva hit the theatres on January 31, 2025. The movie was directed by Rosshan Andrews, which is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam blockbuster
Mumbai Police. Also featuring Pooja Hegde, the action-thriler attempted to entice the audience with its suspenseful plot and quick action sequences, but failed to do so exceptionally.
Despite an average opening weekend, the film bombed at the box office, failing to recoup its production cost. Speculations have now been made that the film will soon be available on
Netflix.
According to a report in Jagran News, the streaming rights of Deva have been acquired by Netflix, which will make the film available in the world upon its theatrical run. Although a formal OTT release date was not declared, it has been reported that within 60 days of theatrical run, the movie would go online. Though no official announcement has been made yet, fans are still waiting for the film to be released online.

The film has been directed by Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Roy Kapur Films’ Siddharth Roy Kapur. In the film, Shahid played ACP Dev Ambre of the Mumbai Police, and got hit by an accident which left him with partial memory loss. Alongside Shahid Kapoor, the actioner also features Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati star. It may have gotten praise for Shahid’s performance and cinematography, but was somewhat disappointing to a few with its screenplay and climax. Those negative mixed views dented its box office runs, so there was curiosity if it would fetch money on OTTs.
As per Sacnilk, Shahid Kapoor’s Deva concluded its box office career at Rs 40.78 crore in India and Rs. 15.5 crore globally.
