Rockstar is still somehow working on GTA 5 all these years later, and there’s a long-awaited update finally coming to PC next month. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the ever-iconic crime game have had exclusive features since launch, much to the annoyance of PC players, but this new update – which is free, by the way – is bringing them to PC, GTA+ included.
As announced by Rockstar, the PC version of GTA 5 (including Online) will be getting this update, and the developer has laid out which additions from the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of the open-world game will be carried over. For starters, you’ll have a whole range of new vehicles and upgrades to choose from at Hao’s Special Works. You’ll also encounter a range of ambient animals “all across Southern San Andreas and take pictures of them to participate in the daily Wildlife Photography Challenge for new rewards.”
GTA+ (previously a console exclusive) will be available to those of you on PC now, too. The monthly subscription gives you things like in-game money, monthly benefits, and enhanced CEO and VIP perks. If you like keeping tabs on your progress, the Career Progress feature that lets you “track your criminal movements across all of GTA Online’s updates” is also being added, and, on top of all of that, there’s a refreshed landing page, with “an improved introductory flow for newer players.”

Lastly, there’s some new technical enhancements, too, like support for AMD FSR1 and FSR3, and NVIDIA DLSS 3, enhanced support for higher resolutions, higher aspect ratios, and higher framerates, as well as some ray tracing features – all of which depends on the hardware you have. You can check out the announcement from Rockstar for more details on the entire update, as well as GTA 5’s recommended specifications.
The new GTA 5 update for PC players will drop on Tuesday March 4, bringing with it all of the console exclusive content.
